Hi, everyone,

I vacillated whether to post this on the Garage Sale board or here in Writers' Block, but concerning the nature of it I decided on the latter. I hope it's okay that I post this here. I'm a freelance writer, editor, and transcriptionist and am reaching out to writing groups in hopes of promoting my editorial services. I love what I do, but since I'm sure many of you also work independently or struggle to find consistent work as fellow people with disabilities, I'm sure you know from your own personal experiences that it can be difficult to get yourself out there. So, as previously stated, I'm exploring various new avenues for promotion. In the interest of keeping this post short, I will simply paste a link to my editorial service listing on KBoards below my signature here. It'd mean the world to me if you'd share this with your networks, whether you yourself are looking for an editor or you know someone who is.

I also have a few questions for anyone here who may be an editor or just a freelancer in general. How long have you been an editor? Has work been consistent for you? If so, how did you get yourself out there and build a clientele base?

Many thanks,
Mel Finefrock

Awesome Mel!!
I'll spread the word in my FB writing groups for you. And when I get around to finally finishing my manuscript (sometime soon, lol) consider yourself hired by me. (smile).

I'm so glad to see you're pursuing this.

I'm about to begin courses to earn a certification in teaching adult learners. While my verbal communication skills are excellent, I punctuate like a 3rd grader and spell like a 6th grader. lol In other words, once I'm ready to start developing written material for my students, I'll definitely look you up.

Update: Winds are changing, and I am no longer offering this service. I didn't have a lot of demand referral coming from this site, but I wanted to update all online records of this listing. Thank you, that is all.
